tonight we take a look at our host in her natural habitat. let's get started.

fade in.

so, here we have bethany. it is five in the morning and she's sitting absent mindedly at her computer desk, with much poorer than usual posture, ahem. she just finished watching reruns of 'what's my line?' and 'to tell the truth' and is currently listening to the monkees. she's waiting for that faint blue light outside her window that indicates the arrival of bedtime. she's pretty sure she hasn't fallen asleep before dawn in several weeks. of course, it would be nice to sleep for many more hours than her bedtime allows, but there's something so very, very right about losing consciousness as the sun rises, or so she finds. bethany doesn't subscribe to reincarnation, but if she did, we here at bethany incorporated can assure you that, using her current life as a source of measurement, all previous lives leading up to this one were horrifyingly pathetic.

cue fade out music.

don't let this happen to you, kids. but, if it ever should, bethany assures you that it's really every bit as nice as it sounds. she doesn't recommend the 'responsibility' downloadable patch that is frequently offered in addition-- she herself fell prey to their empty promises of such fanciful concepts as 'character,' 'growth,' even 'self worth.' she has always been slightly naive that way, but she has learned now.

good morning, you.
